Airport Security Officer – Montreal

Pay rate: To be confirmed

Red Pass (RAIC – Restricted Area Identity Card): not required to apply, but this is the single most important differentiator for this role. Candidates who already hold a valid Red Pass will be fast-tracked to the top of the selection process and ranked with highest priority above all other candidates.

D/A (Airside Driving Authorization / AVOP): also a major asset. Candidates who hold a D/A will be ranked significantly higher in the selection process. Holding both a Red Pass and a D/A makes a candidate exceptionally competitive for this role.

A2A Security Agency Inc. is seeking professional, trustworthy, and customer-oriented Security Officers to operate in an airport setting in Montreal. In this position, you will contribute to maintaining a secure, organized, and welcoming atmosphere for passengers, employees, visitors, contractors, and airport personnel while representing a rapidly growing specialized security firm.

This role is perfect for security professionals who remain composed under pressure, are comfortable in a bustling environment, and can uphold a professional demeanor in a sensitive and fast-paced setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide a professional, visible, and reassuring security presence at assigned locations within the airport.

• Conduct access control by verifying authorizations, passes, visitor access, contractor access, or other credentials as instructed.

• Monitor entrances, exits, restricted areas, service zones, lobbies, checkpoints, parking lots, or other designated locations.

• Assist with crowd control, line management, guest flow, and overall safety support.

• Observe and report suspicious behavior, safety risks, disturbances, policy breaches, or unauthorized access attempts.

• Collaborate with airport staff, client representatives, property management, and supervisors to maintain order and enforce site regulations.

• Aid in de-escalating tense or disruptive situations calmly, respectfully, and professionally.

• Respond to incidents such as disturbances, medical emergencies, access issues, alarms, evacuations, or other situations in line with site procedures.

• Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members utilizing radio, phone, or other assigned communication tools.

• Prepare clear and accurate incident or activity reports as needed.

Job Requirements

• Valid BSP security guard permit — mandatory.

• Minimum 1–2 years of professional security experience preferred.

• Previous experience in airport, transportation, logistics, hospitality, corporate, or high-traffic site security is a significant asset.

• Excellent communication skills and a professional, customer-service-oriented attitude.

• Calm, alert, and capable of making sound decisions under pressure.

• Professional appearance, a strong sense of discretion, and a reliable work ethic.

• Comfortable standing and walking for extended durations.

• Punctual, dependable, and available to work days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays as required.

• Ability to adhere to post orders, client instructions, airport/site procedures, and supervisor directions.

• Bilingual French/English communication skills are strongly preferred.
