Protecting Events and Ensuring Safety

A2A Security Agency Inc. is seeking dedicated, customer-oriented Event Security Professionals to work at a variety of events in Austin, including private, corporate, residential, and public gatherings. In this role, you will play a crucial part in creating a safe and welcoming atmosphere for guests, staff, vendors, and clients while representing our rapidly expanding security firm.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain a visible, professional security presence at entrances, exits, lobbies, checkpoints, and other designated areas.

• Conduct access control by verifying guest lists, tickets, credentials, wristbands, or other forms of authorization as per client directives.

• Aid in crowd control, manage lines, and ensure overall event safety.

• Observe guest conduct and report any suspicious behavior, safety risks, disturbances, or violations of policies.

• Collaborate with event staff, property managers, and supervisors to uphold order and enforce site regulations.

• Help de-escalate any tense or disruptive situations with respect and professionalism.

• Respond to incidents such as disturbances, medical emergencies, unauthorized access, or evacuations following established procedures.

• Effectively communicate with supervisors and team members using radios, phones, or other communication devices.

• Complete detailed and accurate incident or activity reports when necessary.

Qualifications

• A valid Texas Security Guard License from the Texas Department of Public Safety is required.

• Preferably 1–2 years of experience in professional security roles.

• Previous experience in event security, hospitality, residential, retail, nightclub, or corporate security is highly regarded.

• Strong communication skills combined with a professional, customer-service-oriented approach.

• Ability to remain calm, vigilant, and make sound decisions during high-pressure situations.

• Professional appearance, discretion, and a dependable work ethic are essential.

• Must be comfortable standing and walking for long durations.

• Punctuality, reliability, and availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed are required.

• Ability to adhere to post orders, client instructions, and supervisory guidance.

• Experience with access control, guest screening, or crowd management is advantageous.
