Job Overview

A2A Security is looking for a dedicated and sophisticated Security Officer to join our team at a prestigious luxury retail establishment in Manhattan. The ideal candidate should have a strong emphasis on customer service, ensure a secure environment, and help cultivate an inviting atmosphere for shoppers while effectively preventing theft and other unauthorized activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain a visible security presence at the store's entrance.

• Actively deter theft, shoplifting, and other suspicious behaviors through vigilant observation and proactive interaction.

• Warmly welcome clients as they arrive.

• Provide a positive farewell to clients as they exit the store.

• Vigilantly monitor customer flow and stay aware of happenings in the entrance vicinity.

• Log incidents, report suspicious activities, and relay security issues to management.

• Uphold a professional appearance and conduct at all times.

Qualifications

• A valid New York State Security Guard License is required.

• At least 2 years of experience in high-end retail security is mandatory.

• Excellent customer service and communication skills are essential.

• Must demonstrate reliability, punctuality, and a professional demeanor.

• Capability to stand for prolonged periods is necessary.

Uniform Requirements

Candidates must possess and maintain the following professional attire:

• Black suit

• White dress shirt

• Black tie

• Black dress shoes

Preferred Skills

• Previous experience in luxury retail settings.

• Comfort interacting with high-profile clients.

• Strong observation and loss prevention abilities.

Compensation

Competitive hourly pay ranging from $19.00 to $21.00 based on experience.
