Luxury Retail Security Officer

Position Summary

Your expertise in security management, surveillance systems, and conflict de-escalation will play a crucial role in protecting our customers and merchandise. Primary Duties

• Monitor store activities using CCTV and other surveillance tools to detect and deter theft or vandalism.

• Perform regular patrols across the store, especially in high-value areas, to uphold security measures and ensure safety compliance.

• Manage entry points through advanced access control systems, verifying the credentials of staff, vendors, and visitors to uphold security protocols.

• Respond promptly to emergencies by executing established procedures, including first aid, CPR, AED use, and coordinating with emergency services as needed.

• Accurately document incidents in reports, detailing any security breaches, unusual behaviors, or safety issues observed during your shift.

• Conduct background investigations for potential hires or vendors to ensure alignment with security policies.

• Implement loss prevention strategies by assessing theft risks and applying preventive tactics in line with company standards.

Qualifications

• At least one year of experience in security positions, preferably within luxury retail, law enforcement, military, or comparable industries.

• In-depth knowledge of surveillance equipment, including CCTV and access control systems.

• Certifications in first aid, CPR, AED, and Taser use are preferred; must be able to handle medical emergencies confidently.

• Physically fit to undertake tasks involving lifting and extended patrols while maintaining alertness.

• Excellent conflict resolution skills with effective strategies to de-escalate potential conflicts.

• Familiarity with emergency response protocols and safety regulations regarding fire and lifting.

• Ability to write clear and precise incident reports immediately after any events or anomalies.

• Knowledge of legal obligations pertaining to security practices and compliance within luxury retail contexts.
