Retail Security Guard – Supermarket

A2A Security is on the lookout for committed and skilled Security Officers to join our Retail / Loss Prevention team in New York City, NY. This position is vital in ensuring a safe shopping atmosphere in a grocery store environment.

Position Summary:

As a Security Officer, you will be tasked with safeguarding the store, preventing theft, and providing support to both customers and employees. Your role will not only discourage criminal behavior but also improve the overall shopping experience for our customers.

Main Duties:

• Maintain a prominent security presence throughout the store to prevent theft and guarantee safety.

• Observe customer activities and behaviors, identifying any suspicious conduct.

• Act quickly in response to incidents, emergencies, or disturbances, assisting store staff as necessary.

• Perform regular patrols of the premises to ensure all areas are secure.

• Prepare detailed incident reports and keep accurate records of activities and observations.

• Uphold store policies and procedures to foster a safe shopping environment.

Qualifications:

• A valid New York Security Guard License is required.

• Previous experience in security, particularly in retail or loss prevention, is preferred.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities are essential.

• Dependability, punctuality, and professionalism are critical qualities.

• Ability to remain composed and effective in high-pressure situations.

Work Environment:

• This role offers both full-time and part-time positions.

• Shifts may vary between days and evenings depending on the needs of the operation.

• Competitive hourly pay ranging from $18.00 to $20.00, based on experience.
