Security Guard – Grocery Store / Retail

A2A Security is seeking dedicated and professional Security Guards for our Retail / Loss Prevention team in New York City, NY. This role is essential for maintaining a secure shopping environment in a food retail/grocery setting.

Role Overview:

As a Security Guard, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of the store, preventing theft, and providing assistance to both customers and store staff. Your presence will not only deter criminal activity but also enhance the overall shopping experience for our patrons.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain a visible security presence throughout the store to deter theft and ensure safety.

• Monitor customer activity and behavior, identifying any suspicious actions.

• Respond promptly to incidents, emergencies, or disturbances, and assist store personnel as needed.

• Conduct regular patrols of the premises to ensure all areas are secure.

• Complete detailed incident reports and maintain accurate records of activities and observations.

• Enforce store policies and procedures to create a safe shopping environment.

Requirements:

• A valid New York Security Guard License is mandatory.

• Previous experience in security, particularly in a retail or loss prevention role, is preferred.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential.

• Reliability, punctuality, and professionalism are critical attributes.

• Ability to remain calm and effective in stressful situations.

Working Conditions:

• This position offers both full-time and part-time opportunities.

• Shifts may include days and evenings based on operational needs.

• Competitive pay ranging from $18.00 to $20.00 per hour, commensurate with experience.
